To provide a method for producing powdered brown rice food and drink, having as the raw material brown rice which has recently drawn attention as being healthy food, and usable as favorite and healthy food and drink that does not contain component of dependence or destroying health but on the contrary, containing components that are beneficial to health, while having flavor and taste that are similar to those of coffee and enabling enjoyment of favorite food ingredients.
This method for producing the powdered brown rice food and drink comprises first charging brown rice 1 into a roast iron pot, superheating adjusting with medium to low fire until the surface of the brown rice becomes dark brown and the central part becomes brown, and roasting the product for 75-180 min (roasting process S1), and naturally cooling the product for about one day, and crushing the product to a particle diameter of 0.5-1.5 mm (crushing process 2) so as to facilitate extraction of roasted brown rice component. Furthermore, the method comprises loading a voltage of several thousands of volt units for about 1 hour (voltage treatment process S3) on the brown rice after the crushing process, subjecting it to placement on a stand and application of insulation from a floor, in order to adjust the charge balance of the brown rice and to sterilize.
