Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a pulp raw material for obtaining good-quality pulp from a plant fiber comprising a non-wood material disposed in large amounts and an apparatus used for the above producing method.
SOLUTION: A vegetable fiber such as straw and a prescribed amount of a caustic alkali solution are charged into a polygonal treating tank 1 and the vegetable fiber is mixed with the caustic alkali solution under stirring for a required time in unheated state to carry out elution and softening of lignin contained in the vegetable fiber and hydrogen peroxide solution is added thereto and stirring and mixing of the solution is carried out for a required time while keeping unheated state to carry out bleaching of the vegetable fiber.
