Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a pumpable batch composition of ground stone fruit seeds or nut fruit seeds.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for preparing a pumpable batch composition of stone fruit and/or nut fruit seeds, in particular nuts, almonds or nut and almond mixtures, the method including the steps of: firstly cracking stone fruit or nut seeds, from which the stone or shell has already been removed, by pre-grinding; secondly exposing the composition resulting from the pre-grinding to hot air and/or vacuum for the purpose of breaking for opening cells of the composition; and subsequently subjecting the composition resulting from the pre-grinding and the exposure to hot air or vacuum to further milling, typically in one stage and optionally in multiple stages, thereby forming a pumpable batch composition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
