Abstract:
To provide a method of producing a reinforcing fiber woven fabric that can produce a carbon fiber woven fabric of high quality with the filament fibers densely and uniformly arranged by uniformly applying an amount of water enough to impart the bundling properties all over the warp yarns and inhibit the occurrence of filament damage, for example, fluffing and powdery dust.
Carbon fiber multifilament yarns that are treated with ≤1.0% of a sizing agent and reduces the yarn width ≥30% by wetting with moisture are used at least as the warp and they are woven after moisture is applied to the warp immediately before the back roll (3).
