Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a rolling-sliding member with which sufficient surface hardness is realized, the development of strain can be restrained and the producing cost is restrained to low under consideration of the environmental protection.
SOLUTION: The method for producing the steel for rolling-sliding member for bearings is hardened with a heat treatment containing a quenching treatment. Then, as the above quenching treatment, after heating and holding the steel for intermediate base stock for bearings at ≥ 900°C, a treatment for cooling, is performed in the gas atmosphere.
