PURPOSE: To easily produce uneven spotted pattern by a method wherein a sand recovery bucket and a shielding plate having a wavy shape are provided ahead of the chute of a sand sprinkler, in which a hopper, a rotary drum and the chute are arranged continuously, so as to locally control the sprinkling rate of sand spread from the chute with the shielding plate in order to form sand spotted pattern on the surface of a tile.

CONSTITUTION: Sand 1, which is fed to a chute 5, falls along the surface of the chute 5 and is sprinkled over the surface of a tile 8. At this time, a part of the sand 1 is sprinkled over the surface of the tile 8 by passing through a shielding plate 7, which is arranged ahead the lower end part of the chute 5 and the remaining part of the sand is recovered to a sand recovery bucket 6. By employing the shielding plate 7 having shape, the sand 1, which collides against the base parts 10 and crest parts 11 of this shielding plate 7, is recovered to the sand recovery bucket 6, while the sand 1, which does not collide against the shielding plate 7 or passes through the trough parts of the shielding plate 7 at the right and left parts of the crest parts 11, is sprinkled as it is over the surface of the tile 8. Thus, uneven sand spotted pattern can be formed on the surface of the tile.
