Abstract:
To provide a method for producing scandium chloride whereby, from scandium oxide containing impurities, the impurities can be reduced to some extent.SOLUTION: The method for producing scandium chloride from scandium oxide containing impurities includes: an exudation step for exuding scandium oxide with hydrochloric acid to obtain an exudated liquid containing scandium ions and chloride ions; and a crystallization step for cooling an un-crystallized liquid resulting from the exudated liquid and crystallizing scandium chloride from the un-crystallized liquid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
