To provide a method for producing a silicone rubber, capable of being suitably conducted in an industrial manner on which energy is scarcely required to be loaded.
This method for producing the silicone rubber comprises forming the silicone rubber out of an aqueous emulsion containing (A) an organopolysiloxane, (B) finely powdered silica-based filler, (E) water containing a water-soluble polymer, and, if necessary, (C) an electroconductive filler, (D) an electrically-nonconductive filler, (F) an emulsifying agent, and (G) a curing agent, wherein the method has a first process for obtaining the aqueous emulsion through [1] a step of preparing in advance a water dispersion containing the component (E) together with components (B), (C), and (D) and [2] a step for mixing the components (A), (F), and (G) into the water dispersion in arbitrary order and agitating the dispersion. Further, the method has a second process for obtaining the silicone rubber by curing the aqueous emulsion obtained by the first process while removing the water therefrom, or curing the aqueous emulsion to form a wet silicone rubber-like cured material and then removing the water from the cured material.
