To provide a method for producing smoked products having no need of flame regulation, enabling easy production of smoked products at home, and saving fuel cost; and to provide a smoking device.
The method for producing the smoke products comprises the following process: putting smoke chips 8 at the bottom part of an inner pot 3; putting preprocessed food material S for smoking on a net member 7 placed on a holding projection part 3d; placing the inner pot 3 on a gas burner to heat the pot; putting a lid 4 on the inner pot 3 followed by turning down the flame of the gas burner; making the inside of the inner pot 3 filled with smoke caused by the smoke chips 8 followed by removing the inner pot 3 from the gas burner; housing the inner pot 3 in a heat-resistant container 2; and smoking the smoking food material S while keeping it at a predetermined temperature. After a predetermined period of time passed, a moderately smoked product is obtained through moderately cooking the smoking food material S at a high temperature.
