To provide a method for producing solid fuel which contains plastic-containing waste as a raw material, reduces contamination with metal and has a good yield.SOLUTION: A method for producing solid fuel includes: a heating step of hating plastic-containing waste; a crushing step of crushing the plastic-containing waste after the heating step; and a pulverizing step of pulverizing crushed matters of the plastic-containing waste using a crusher having a crushing mechanism having a crushing surface in a vertical direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
