To provide a method for producing a spun-dyed fiber with which color correction and color change of the spun-dyed fiber are efficiently carried out and a melt spinning apparatus.
In the method for obtaining the spun-dyed fiber by mixing base polymer chips with a pigment-containing master agent and then performing melt spinning and winding, a plurality of master agents are used as the master agent, each of a plurality of the master agents is individually weighed and added to the base polymer. The color tone of the mixed chips or a spun yarn is measured before the base polymer chips are mixed with the master agent and then the yarn is wound. Preferably the measured color tone is judged by an objective color tone and the result is fed back to correct the mixing ratio of the master agent.
