Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING STRAIGHT-ON TRAVEL SIGNAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3640691
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent wrong information resulting from tire tolerances by generating a straight-on travel signal when a difference between either a difference of the two rotational speed signals of wheels on each side or a difference between the sums of the wheel rotational speeds on each side and a difference of signals filtered with respect to time does not exceed a threshold.
CONSTITUTION: Wheel speed sensors for the four wheels of an automobile feed signals 14 to a block 5 to form a difference ((VVL+VHL)-(VVR+VHR)) between the sums of the wheel speed signals of the sides of the vehicle. The difference is filtered (averaged) by a time filter 6. Signals output from the blocks 5 and 6 are fed to a subtractor 8 to subtract the filtered speed value from an instantaneous speed value. The result is fed to a comparator 9 to compare the output signal with a predetermined threshold. Unless the threshold is exceeded, an output signal is generated to indicate that the vehicle is traveling on a straight line. The signal is fed to a vehicle control device 12.
