Title:
METHOD OF PRODUCING STYRENE POLYMER VIA FIN FLUIDIZATION PROCESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3306400
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method producing syndiotactic styrene polymer that has excellent stereoregularlity and good molecular weight distribution in a particle form of fine sizes with no occurrence of scaling to the reactor.
SOLUTION: Preliminarily, a catalyst mixture including styrene monomer, a metallocene catalyst, an inactive organic solvent, the styrene monomer, a cocatalyst of an organometallic compound and an inactive organic solvent are fluidized in a fine fluidizer and the fluidized mixture is fed together with the metallocene catalyst and the cocatalyst into the polymerization reactor to produce the objective syndiotactic styrene polymer.
