Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a thermosetting resin having a benzoxazine ring structure by which it becomes possible to simultaneously add all raw materials into a solvent at room temperature, and conversion of a reaction solution into gel and insolubilization of the reaction product during production reaction do not occur, wherein the thermosetting resin having a benzoxazine ring structure obtained by the above method is excellent in handleability during production, is produced by a simple production process, and is good in handleability in a process for cleaning a reaction solution.

The method for producing the thermosetting resin having a benzoxazine ring structure includes (1) a process for reacting a bifunctional phenol compound, a diamine compound, and an aldehyde compound in a mixed solvent of an aromatic nonpolar solvent and a 1-4C alcohol and (2) a process for cleaning the reaction solution with a basic aqueous solution after the reaction is completed.
