To provide a production method of fluazinam which is an excellent agrichemical active component and highly useful, by a simple treating operation, at a low cost, with a method being friendly to the environment, efficiently, and in a form of fitting for the purpose.
This production method comprises (1) a process in which ACTF and DCDNBTF are reacted in the presence of an alkali component and a solvent selected from the group consisting of ethers, nitriles, and esters, (2) a process in which the reaction mixture is neutralized or acidified with an acid, and (3) a process in which a crystal of the product is precipitated by distilling off the solvent from the mixture containing the reaction product, that is, fluazinam and the solvent, and it can use an industrially advantageous reaction system and produce the object in an excellent yield.
