Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner production method which makes it possible to obtain excellent color reproducibility with sufficient concentration and saturation, and prevents the occurrence of fogging and toner scattering.SOLUTION: The method includes a step in which a flocculant free from metal atoms is added and flocculated in an aqueous medium in which fine particles of each of a colorant obtained by a chelate reaction between a dye compound represented by a general formula (1) and a separately defined copper complex compound, and a binder resin, are dispersed.
