Abstract:
To synthesize Thiamphenicol or Florfenicol by using a thiomicamine or an erythro enantiomer which is a derivative thereof.
This method for producing a trans-(5R)-2-oxazoline compound represented by formula [I] (wherein, R denotes an alkyl, an alkoxy or the like; and X denotes hydroxy or the like) by treating an erythro-(3S) compound represented by formula [II] with an ionized nonnucleophilic reagent in an inert solvent at a temperature within the range of 100-120°C is provided. The conversion effects of configuration thereof are extraordinary.
