Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically advantageous method for producing HFO-1123 useful as a cooling medium in a sufficiently high yield by a synthetic reaction accompanied by thermal decomposition.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing HFO-1123 using a first raw material composition containing R22 and/or TFE and a second raw material composition containing R40 and/or methane by a synthetic reaction accompanied by thermal decomposition, the method comprising: (a) a step of feeding the first raw material composition and a first heating medium into a first reactor to be brought into contact with each other and setting the first raw material composition at a first temperature of 0 to 850°C to obtain a first mixture; (b) a step of feeding the second raw material composition and a second heating medium into a second reactor to be brought into contact with each other and setting the second raw material composition at a second temperature of 600 to 900°C to obtain a second mixture; and (c) a step of feeding the first mixture and the second mixture into a third reactor to be brought into contact with each other to generate HFO-1123, and adjusting the temperature inside the third reactor in the step (c) at 400 to 950°C.
