Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a urea derivative from carbamate as the raw material.SOLUTION: A method for producing a urea derivative includes a reaction step in which, in the presence of a catalyst, carbamate is heated, to produce a urea derivative having a structure represented by the formula (b), where the catalyst is a metal-containing catalyst or an organic base catalyst. (In the formula (b), R1 independently represents a hydrogen atom or an unsubstituted or substituted hydrocarbon group, and R2 independently represents an unsubstituted or substituted hydrocarbon group, where two R2 may be coupled to each other to form a ring).SELECTED DRAWING: None
