To provide a method for producing a V-ribbed belt in which the pitch line of an embedded core wire is stabilized and the V-ribbed belt.
In the V-ribbed belt 1, the back 8 is formed from an elongated rubber layer 5 containing short fibers 4. A core wire 2 is arranged adjacently to the rubber layer 5 in the belt longitudinal direction, and part of the core wire 2 is embedded in the rubber layer 5. In the lower layer of the rubber layer 5, an adhesive rubber layer 2 and a compressed rubber layer 6 containing the short fibers 4 are arranged. A plurality of Rib parts 7 each having an approximately triangular cross section extending in the belt longitudinal direction are set in the compressed rubber layer 6. An uneven pattern can be formed as required on the back 8 of the elongated rubber layer 5.
