Abstract:
To produce a water-resistant coating from a used foamed polystyrene for the purpose of recycling it.
The method comprises dissolving the used foamed polystyrene in a lacquer thinner, mixing an appropriate amount of an aromatic hydrocarbon resin such as a styrene oligomer or a xylene resin, and coloring the solution with a dye.
