To provide a method for producing a wheel by which a rim flange part can easily be formed by the increase in thickness even by a low-output spinning apparatus.

This method is provided with: a pressing stage where a rolled metal sheet is press-formed, so as to produce a bottomed cylindrical primary formed part provided with a flange part elongating to the external side so as to be almost orthogonal to the central line at the edge part on the opening side; a working stage where the bottom part of the primary formed part is cut, so as to obtain a secondary formed part 36; and a spinning stage where the secondary worked part 36 is externally inserted so as to be fixed to a rotary fixture 46 with a receiving face 44a allowing the deformation of the flange part 35 to the thickness direction and further receiving the flange part 35 from the inner circumferential side, while rotating the secondary worked part 36 together with the rotary fixture 46, a rim flange forming roller 48 is pressure-welded to the edge part of the flange part 35 toward the extentionally provided direction of the flange part 35, the flange part 35 is gradually formed into the shape of the rim flange part, and thereafter, the angle of the flange part 35A is regulated to the proper one, so as to form the rim flange part.
