Abstract:
To provide an efficient utilization technique of a polychlorinated aromatic compound having a low utility value, in particular, a method for efficiently producing a useful chlorobenzene by using the polychlorinated aromatic compound with benzene as raw materials.
This method comprises producing chlorobenzene from the polychlorinated aromatic compound and benzene by a liquid phase reaction process using a catalyst of metallic ruthenium carried on a silica carrier.
