To provide a method for effectively producing a propylene based polymer in a simple method which has excellent flow characteristics such as melt tension, melt viscoelastic properties, etc., excellent in molding process workability, allowing a high closed cell ratio in extrusion foaming molding, preferably used in blow molding or extrusion foaming molding.
The method for producing the propylene based polymer comprises polymerization of propylene in the presence of a catalyst consisting of at least component [A]; at least two kinds of specific transition metal compounds of the fourth group of the periodic system, component [B]: at least a kind selected from the group consisting of aluminum oxy compounds, ionic compounds or Lewis acids, fine particle of a solid acid and ion exchanging layered silicates, and component [C]; organic aluminum compounds, wherein the propylene based polymer is characterized by having a degree (max) of strain hardening, measured by elongational viscosity, of 2.0 or more.
