To provide a method, program and apparatus for calculating antenna characteristics to accurately evaluate the communication performance of a tag antenna.
A simulation apparatus 100 includes a CPU 120, a memory 122 and a hard disk 124. The hard disk 124 stores an antenna evaluation program 160, an analysis condition 270, and an analysis model 280. The analysis model 280 includes: a reader/writer model 282 that is an analysis model imitating the shape of a reader/writer antenna; and a tag model 284 that is an analysis model imitating the shape of a mobile phone with a tag antenna. The CPU 120 executes the antenna evaluation program 160, and determines a coupling characteristic between the antennas with respect to combinations between a plurality of reader/writer resonance frequencies, a plurality of tag resonance frequencies, and a plurality of tag load values based on the analysis condition 270 and the analysis model 280. The CPU 120 extracts, for the plurality of reader/writer resonance frequencies, tag resonance frequencies in which the coupling characteristic does not change when the tag load values are changed.
