When user's presence information is reported to a presence server, the presence server allocates a storage area to the vicinity of a user's access point and moves contents required for the user to the allocated storage area. Consequently an environment capable of efficiently utilizing the contents can be obtained even in a mobile environment. Even in accessing information from a terminal such as a portable terminal which is not provided with a storage of large capacity, information access can be realized by utilizing the storage area connected to the network.
