A system for providing the service in the specified space is provided with a portable information terminal with a radio communication function utilized in the specified space, a reception terminal with a function of lending and receiving the information terminal and a server for the specified space for communicating with the information terminal through radio communication equipment provided in the specified space and transferring data. The reception terminal lends the information terminal to which information matched with the customer is written to the customer desiring the lending of the information terminal after authenticating an individual by the read of the contents of an IC card owned by the customer and an identification number inputted by the customer and determining that he/she is qualified, and the customer enjoys the service in the specified space by using the lent-out information terminal.
