PURPOSE: To efficiently perform a pulling-out work by separating a group of socks hitched up on foot models for each plural socks, collecting and holding the foot models at their center for each socks, pulling out the socks from the foot models by the transfer of pulling chucks, and subsequently delivering the pulled-out socks to the next process.
CONSTITUTION: In a sock-finishing machine, a group of socks 2 attached to foot models 1 are heat-set, dried, transferred to a sock-pulling section in a collected condition, and stopped at a stopping position. The chuck plates of a hitching chucks are inserted between the respective foot models and lifted to grip the socks at their somewhat higher parts than a sock-opening part 2a and hitch up the socks 2 to places under the heel parts of the foot models 1. The chuck plates 50a, 50b and 50c of the pulling chucks are inserted between the tips of the respective foot models 1, and the foot models 1 are collected to the center of the respective socks separated for each plural foot models. The toe parts and heel parts of the socks 2 are nipped, held, and further moved toward the toe parts of the foot models 1 to pull out the socks 2 from the foot models 1, whereby the socks are released from the foot models 1 for each group and subsequently delivered to the next process.
