Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the lowering of the qualities of coke caused by the intrusion of purging gas from the regenerator into the carbonization oven in the course of heating a part of the exhaust gas of the carbonization oven in the regenerator and recycling the gas to the carbonization oven, by extracting the purging gas from the gas recycling system, and exhausting to the outer atmosphere after the heat recovery.

CONSTITUTION: Briquette coal 1 is charged in a vertical-type continuous carbonization oven 5, a part of the generated gas discharged from the top of the charbonization oven 5 is heated and supplied to the carbonization oven 5 as recycling gas, and the carbonization of coal is carried out to obtain coke. In the above process, hot gas prepared by the combustion of the fuel 14 with air 15 in the regenerative-type heating oven 16 is used for the heating of the regenerators 17 and 25, and purged with purging gas 33, such as steam. The recycling gas is heated in the regenerator, supplied to the carbonization oven, purged with the purging gas, and the regenerator is heated with the hot gas; and the above steps are repeated. In the above process, the gas exhausted from the regenerator is heat-recovered with a separate heat-recovering apparatus installed outside of the gas recycling system and exhausted from the system until the purging gas is completely discharged.
