Abstract:
To provide a simple and efficient method for isolating and purifying a racemic metallocene compound from a mixture of cross-linked metallocene reaction products each having a halogen-containing substituent.
The objective racemic metallocene compound is isolated and purified by dissolving or dispersing in a halogen-containing aromatic hydrocarbon solvent such as chlorobenzene or o-dichlorobenzene a reaction product mixture obtained in synthesizing cross-linked metallocene compounds each having a halogen-containing substituent and then by performing heat treatment.
