Abstract:
To solve a problem that it is necessary to increase the hydrochloric acid concentration of a platinum group-containing hydrochloric acid solution in order to use a rhodium precipitant and, therefore, when ammonium chloride is added in a post-process of platinum purification, ruthenium other than platinum and residual rhodium contaminate precipitates.SOLUTION: High purity platinum precipitates with suppressed contamination with residual rhodium and ruthenium are obtained by precipitating and separating rhodium by adding a rhodium precipitant to a hydrochloric acid acidic solution of platinum as well as rhodium and ruthenium and, thereafter, generating platinum precipitates by removing an influence of hydrochloric acid.SELECTED DRAWING: None
