Abstract:
To provide a means for simply separating and purifying PAO (polyamine oxidase) of oats in such a state that the activity is maintained.
The PAO is purified by carrying out (1) a step of bringing a sample composed of a soluble fraction of the oats into contact with a cation exchanger under buffer conditions of 0.2-0.3 M, and 6.5-8.0 pH, and (2) a step of eluting components adsorbed on the cation exchanger under the buffer conditions of 0.45-0.55 M, and 6.5-8.0 pH.
