To provide a simple, highly energy efficient, industrially advantageous method and system for obtaining high-purity propane from low-purity propane.
At least one of water, carbon dioxide, ethane, and propylene and at least one of isobutane and normal butane in gas-phase low-purity propane are adsorbed with: a molecular sieve zeolite that adsorbs water and carbon dioxide with higher priority than propane; molecular sieve activated carbon that adsorbs ethane and propylene with higher priority than propane; and activated carbon that adsorbs isobutane and normal butane with higher priority than propane. By introducing the gas-phase low-purity propane into a dephlegmator, propane is condensed in a state where nitrogen and oxygen are kept in the gas phase. Nitrogen and oxygen in the gas phase are removed from the dephlegmator.
