Title:
METHOD FOR QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION OF ALKALI ION AND DIAZA-CRYPTAND
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10332591
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To eliminate that a luminescence characteristic is sharply influenced by the pH value of a sample by a method wherein a diaza-cryptand by a specific formula is used as a compound luminophore-ionophore.

A diaza-cryptand by a formula is a new one. In the formula, X represents a luminophoric part, (m) represents 0, 1 or 2, and (o) and (p) represent 0, 1 or 2 respectively independently. The new luminophore-ionophore is useful to quantitatively determine alkali ions in a physiological pH value and a physiological concentration. The diaza-cryptand by the formula is used as a luminosphore-ionophore in order to quantitatively determine alkali ions. The alkali ions in a sample come into contact with the luminophore-ionophore, the ionophoric part is reacted with the alkali ions, the luminescence characteristic of the luminophoric part is changed, luminescence is measured, and the concentration and the activity of the alkali ions are estimated and determined quantitatively.
