Abstract:
PURPOSE: To further quickly melt and flow solidified metal in a vacuum degassing vessel.
CONSTITUTION: In this method, two phase stream of solid-gas of oxygen and powder of calcium compound is supplied near the hot solidified metal 5 stuck to the vacuum degassing vessel 1. As a means for supplying the two phase stream of the oxygen and the powder of calcium compound, a lance 4 is arranged vertically movably in the vacuum degassing vessel 1 and the discharge hole of the lance 4 is directed to the direction near the hot solidified metal 5 stuck to the vacuum degassing vessel.
