Title:
METHOD FOR RAISING TEMPERATURE AFTER RESTACKING BRICK IN CARL STILL COKE OVEN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010184983
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for raising temperature after restacking bricks in a Carl Still coke oven, by which the temperature of oven wall bricks after restacking can be controlled in an optimum state by each flue.

By sequentially igniting combustion burners 4a to 4d of flues 5a to 5d, respectively, from the first flue 5a which is in the farthest side from oven wall bricks that are not restacked to the fourth flue 5d nearest to the bricks, the temperature of the oven wall bricks can be gradually raised from the first flue 5a in the farthest side from the oven wall bricks not subjected to restacking, where the temperature decreases most. After the temperature of the restacked oven wall bricks becomes approximately equal to the temperature of the oven wall bricks not restacked, then the temperature of the restacked bricks can be slowly raised together with the temperature of the bricks not restacked, which can suppress or prevent fracture or distortion in the oven wall bricks.
