Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing temperature of molten iron for largely reducing inclusion amount in the molten iron and FeO concentration in a slag in a temperature increasing treatment of the molten iron for spraying oxidizable gas such as oxygen gas to a molten iron surface in a vacuum tank containing Al with a vacuum degassing device.SOLUTION: In a temperature increasing treatment for praying oxidizable gas such as oxygen gas to a molten iron surface in a vacuum tank containing Al by using a vacuum degassing device, spraying or blowing of CaO-based flux to the molten iron is initiated before completion of oxidizable gas spraying, and spraying or blowing of the flux is stopped after completion of oxidizable gas spraying.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
