Abstract:
To provide a method capable of easily recovering a bactericidal effect at home, thus overcoming the conventional disadvantage on an iodine-based bactericidal material, that is, unavailability of means for recovering the bactericidal effect reduced due to long-time use, while the iodine-based bactericidal material can be used for interior products such as a carpet or a curtain in addition to miscellaneous daily articles as the iodine-based bactericidal material can fix iodine to a textile material or the like when compared to a chlorine-based bactericidal material and also can gradually release iodine.SOLUTION: An iodine-based bactericidal material reduced in bactericidal effect is kept in contact with a diluted solution of a chlorine-based detergent or a bleach for a prescribed time, and iodine is oxidized to be carried again. In addition, the iodine-based bactericidal material is brought into contact with a liquid iodine agent widely used for gargles, and the iodine is carried again. Thus, the iodine-based bactericidal material is reactivated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
