CONSTITUTION: An X-Y stage controlled by the computer to be exclusively used of the automatic correcting device moves near to the preinterconnection a part relating to a defective point c which is the cause for generating the display defective part of a display panel and the pattern recognizing device of the automatic correcting device recognizes characteristic patterns gR, etc., when the defective point is confirmed by the automatic correcting device. The same characteristic patterns gR, etc., are formed at least apart ≥1 pieces at this time and, therefore, the absolute accuracy of the Y-X stage as low as heretofore is relieved and the pattern recognizing device exactly recognizes the source signal line b4 required to be subjected to correction. The X-Y stage moves successively from the mistaken point to the connecting point fR of the desired preinterconnection.
