Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the necessity of a device for exclusively inputting a bar code and its following operation by expressing the information of inputted image document data by a bar code, adding the bar code to the image document and inputting the bar code as image data.
CONSTITUTION: In order to sort inputted image document data, a bar code is added as image data 1 and converted into code information by a prescribed procedure. In the case of recognizing the bar code image data 1, sufficiently long intervals are respectively required for an interval 3 indicating superposition and an interval 4 separating respective bars, and at the time of segmenting a bar code area 2, the most appropriate area is detected from the horizontal projection value of the data 1. Even when the data 1 are obliquely inputted, the gurantee of the interval 3 is required, and at the time of discriminating bars, the influence of noise is reduced by using the projection value. Thereby, the use of an exclusive mark sheet or the like is made unnecessary by using a bar code.
