Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reconditioning a rotor of a rotary electric machine and apparatus in which old varnish can be removed and the reimpregnation of the varnish can be performed effectively, thus leading to a prolonged lifetime of the rotor. SOLUTION: A rotor of a rotary electric machine and apparatus in which a plurality of slots are formed at the peripheral part of a rotor core so as to be in a consecutive order in the axial direction and have a predetermined interval in the circumferential direction, a rotor bar is housed inside each of the slots and the end of the rotor bar is joined electrically by a short-circuit ring, varnish is charged between the rotor bars and slots, thereby the both are fixed. The rotor which has been used for years are subjected to heat treatment, varnish previously impregnated is removed, and after that, new varnish is reimpregnated and charged between the rotor bars and slots.
