Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recording information reducing unnecessary regions in the recording region of an information recording medium, and capable of increasing regions capable of recording data.
SOLUTION: In recording terminal information (for example, closure) on the recording region, when a dummy data region (for example, run-in) in present at the outer peripheral side of the final data region contained in the recording region (step 703), the dummy data is used as a part of the terminal information and the rest of the terminal information is recorded on the dummy data region in succession (Step 707). There is no dummy data region between the final data region and the terminal data region even if the dummy data region is present at the outer peripheral side of the final data region. This prevents the presence of the meaningless dummy data region between the final data region and the terminal data.
