Abstract:

To provide an econical and environment-friendly method for recovering a catayltic metal from a catalytic metal colloid containing composition.

A composition in a rinse solution or a dragout bath containing a catalytic metal colloid is passed through a filter for entrapping a catalytic metal colloid from a solution. In contrast with the other components in the solution, the catalytic metal colloid has high affinity for a filter. The filter containing the catalytic metal colloid is rinsed with an acid solution, and the catalytic metal is removed from the filter. The catalytic metal is collected on the inside of a suitable vessel, or on an adsorbent such as a resin.
