Abstract:
To provide a method of recovering cobalt and nickel from a solution containing one or both of cobalt and nickel, and further containing copper and iron (III) which can be applied to real operation.SOLUTION: This method of recovering cobalt and nickel includes: a pretreatment process of removing any one or both of a copper ion and an iron (III) ion contained in an original solution containing any one or both of cobalt and nickel; and a Xanthate treatment process of selectively precipitating (a) Xanthate salt(s) of any one or both of cobalt and nickel by adding a Xanthate compound to the solution after pretreatment to recover a precipitate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
