Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering fuel debris capable of recovering fuel debris while preventing generation of secondary wastes and leakage of radioactive substances even in a case where a submergence method is not applicable.SOLUTION: A first shield chamber 2 that communicates with a reactor container 12 and has an opening/closing door 21 at a side surface of the first shield chamber 2 is installed on a fuel exchange floor 1a, and a second shield chamber 3 that is adjacent to the first shield chamber 2 with the opening/closing door 21 interposed therebetween and has an openable/closable doorway 31 is installed on the fuel exchange floor 1a. A fuel debris X is recovered with either one of the opening/closing door 21 and the doorway 31 closed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
