Abstract:
PURPOSE: To recover a high purity hydrochloric acid by adding a ferrous salt into a crude hydrochloric acid or bringing the crude hydrochloric acid into contact with metal iron in the middle of a flow passage for introducing the crude hydrochloric obtained in a hydrochloric acid absorbing tower at the time of incinerating an chloride containing waste water into a releasing tower.
CONSTITUTION: A gas containing hydrogen chloride produced by incinerating the chloride containing waste water (e.g. the waste water in chlorine-containing resin production) introduced into a incinerator 1 is sent to an absorbing tower 3 and is absorbed with water to obtain the crude hydrochloric acid. Next, the produced crude hydrochloric acid is discharged from the bottom of the absorbing tower 3, and the ferrous salt supplied from an adding device 8 for the ferrous chloride is added into the crude hydrochloric acid or the metal iron is brought into contact with the crude hydrochloric acid in the middle of the flow passage for introducing into the releasing tower 4. Next, the crude hydrochloric acid is introduced into the releasing tower 4 to obtain gaseous hydrogen chloride again, purified with removing metallic ion or the like and concentrated. Next, hydrochloric acid is recovered by collecting the concentrated acid in a concd. solution tank 6 through a heat exchanger 5 and passing through an activated carbon tank 7. As a result, hydrochloric acid extremely less in impurities such as free chlorine, heavy metal is obtained.
