The method includes a process of pulverizing a metal-containing resin composition or product into a mixture granular material of metal-rich granules containing much metal and resin-rich granules containing much resin, a process of immersing the mixture granular material in a liquid which does not dissolve the resin to separate the metal-rich granules, and a process of immersing the separated metal-rich granules in a liquid which dissolves the resin to dissolve and remove the resin.
