Abstract:

To provide a method in which metal included in raw ore or mineral concentrate of low quality or a solid waste material in an iron mill is leached at low cost, at high speed and at high efficiency so as to be recovered, and, particularly, to provide a method in which a heap can be treated as it is.

The method for recovering metal from a solid waste material or the like includes: (1) a solid waste material or the like comprising specified metal is made to exist in a non-stirred state; (2) a treatment liquid comprising iron-reducing bacteria, ferric ions, an electronic donor and a pH buffer, and whose pH at 25°C is ≤7.0 is added in such a manner that the solid waste material or the like has a state from low pH to high pH so as to be contacted with the solid water material or the like; (3) a specified metal component is leached into the treatment liquid from the solid waste material or the like; and (4) the treatment liquid into which the specified metal is leached is made to flow out to the high pH side to recover the specified metal.
