Abstract:
To provide a method for recovering molten steel from converter slag under molten state without using a magnetic separator.
The converter slag left in the converter, is recovered into a slag pot provided with a discharging hole so as to be opened/closed at the bottom part, and after standing until the molten slag and the molten steel are separated with the difference of sp. grs. in the slag pot, the discharging hole in the slag pot is opened and the molten steel separated with the sp. gr. is discharged into a molten iron vessel, and at the same time of discharging the molten slag from the discharging hole, the discharging hole is shut off.
