Palladium is recovered by reduction from a palladium-containing aqueous solution in which copper ions are coexistent by using a metallic ion treatment agent in which anthrahydroquinone compound is supported on a porous carrier. In this case, iron ions are characteristically allowed to coexist in the above aqueous solution.
